Nellore Zilla Kammajana Samkshema Samithi was registered in 1983 (Society No. 74 of 1983) with the Registrar of Societies, SPSR Nellore District, as a welfare organisation for Kamma families across the district. Since then, the Sangham has been run entirely by its General Body — every major decision, from the annual budget to amendments in the Rules & Regulations, is discussed and passed openly at General Body meetings.
To support the education, welfare and cultural life of Kamma families in and around Nellore district, and to give the community a structure — a President, Executive Committee and General Body — through which members can raise concerns, propose changes and hold leadership accountable.
The Sangham is governed by a written set of Rules & Regulations. Clause 4 sets out the Executive Committee's structure: an Honorary President, President, Vice Presidents, a General Secretary, an Organising Secretary, a Publicity Secretary, Secretaries and a Treasurer — all elected by the General Body. Any dispute over an election is settled under Section 23 of the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001, in the District Court.
The most recent General Body Meeting was held on 3rd April 2026 at the Regd. Office, where the 2025–26 audit reports and annual report were passed unanimously, the 2026–27 budget was accepted, and an amendment to Clause 4 (Functions of Secretary) was approved.
